The age groups and places you intend to teach in the future should also be considered as you apply the skills you will learn.
As this course has its focus on teaching English to speakers of other languages, students will be required to spend time observing English as Second Language (ESL) teachers as they teach their classes and also to spend time in lesson preparation and practice teaching. You are asked to make a determined effort to fulfil these course requirements. These elements form some of the foundational aspects of the competency-based training that Certificate IV in TESOL offers.
